We are looking for a General Manager – West Europe (Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium) for a huge go-to campervan marketplace for road trips with +400 employees worldwide and presence in 20 countries across Europe, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
Thanks to its digital approach and customer-centric orientation, the company has developed a strong booking experience and high-quality road trips at affordable prices.
You will be joining a dynamic and technology driven company, working with a team of 20 nationalities and young dynamic people.
Following the company’s expansion, we are seeking a Growth Director who will be based in the HQ in Lisbon.
✏️The Role
As General Manager of West Europe, you will act as the regional business leader with ultimate responsibility for driving results across Portugal, Spain, France, and Belgium.
This role combines commercial, operational, financial, and people leadership, with direct accountability for revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction, and team performance.
You will oversee a regional organization of ~80 employees and manage a senior leadership team of 7 direct reports. Headcount in the region is expected to scale rapidly over the next few years in line with business growth.
You will assume full ownership, balancing central guidelines with local execution, and ensuring sustainable business growth.
You will report directly to the COO and collaborate closely with both the HQ central teams and your regional teams.
🎯What will you work on?
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement regional strategies to maximize performance, focusing on gross margin, nights traveled, cost of sales, and customer satisfaction.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, coach, and inspire a senior team including Revenue, Growth, Sales, Finance, People, and Operations leaders, ensuring accountability and high execution standards.
- Operational Management: Oversee regional operations across 20+ stations (9 France, 7 Spain, 3 Portugal, 1 Belgium), ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with company standards.
- Sales and Revenue generation: Define and execute strategies to drive top-line growth.
- Performance Monitoring: Drive weekly business reviews, analyzing revenue generation, marketing traffic, conversion funnels, and customer experience. This is expected to be ~70% of the GM’s focus.
- Decision-Making & Execution: Take ownership of key commercial levers such as pricing, fleet allocation, and new location openings.
- Financial Management: Control regional P&L, ensuring sustainable growth and cost efficiency, including budget preparation in collaboration with Finance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HQ strategy and process teams to translate company guidelines into actionable execution at the regional level.
- Customer Experience: Champion customer-centricity, driving improvements in service quality and satisfaction.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct quarterly visits to each station, maintaining strong visibility with teams and customers.

- Nights travelled (regional).
- Total revenue generated (regional).
- Cost of sales as % of revenue.
- Gross margin by region.
- Customer satisfaction (CSAT).
- Vehicle availability.
- RV Sales (core business remains rentals).
- RV Sales units sold.
- Net Profit.

- Commercial & Revenue Leadership: Full responsibility for sales and revenue generation, with a proven track record of defining and executing strategies to drive top-line growth. With ability to influence pricing and marketing levers or equivalent commercial decision-making authority, beyond a purely operational P&L responsibility.
- Industry Background: Service industries with high customer engagement (hospitality, travel tech, last-mile delivery, e-commerce).
- Customer Orientation: Deep understanding of customer experience, with ability to react fast and adapt operations to evolving needs.
- Soft Skills: Self-motivated, energetic, resilient, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Language: Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
